Our Story

Mare Mosso Caffe E Vendite, which started its activities in 2017 as a boutique manufacturer and cafe enterprise in the historic Balat District of Fatih County of Istanbul, took its inspiration from the maritime commerce of the Mediterranean Levantines, which has a great importance in the historical journey of coffee. Ports, seas and ships are important elements for our brand, as well as the Levantines, which have led the way in reaching coffee almost everywhere in the world by crossing the Mediterranean Sea with galleys. Mare Mosso, which combines coffee with today by feeding on history and cultural riches: it means "undulating sea” in Italian. The name of our brand is a symbol of our respect to the difficult Mediterranean journeys of the galleys. Our brand describes itself with "Modern Vintage” character. It has a holistic narrative with its adoption of the Italian-style roasting method, special coffee presentation, place structure, customer relationship, library and colors. While the estuary, an old port, was preferred as a location, it determined as a mission that the connection we established with the past would merge with the present and reach the future. Our current goal is continue to our journey by growing with stakeholders who carry the same emotion and excitement as us at the point where we arrived at the end of 5 years, who are aware that coffee is not only coffee, but also it is important part of the culture.
